A look into Drew Stratton’s world
A fully licensed Estate Agent, Drew can provide vendors with current market trends, and potential buyers with first-hand knowledge of all our region has to offer. With a strong livestock agency background, Drew also crosses over to working within the livestock division.
How long have you worked as a real estate and livestock agent?
Since 2006 after returning from working in Melbourne as an accountant. I have always been involved in the industry though as my father has always been in the same occupation.
What made you get into real estate?
I was always interested in the industry and have been involved since a young age.
Favourite aspect of your job?
Diversity. Dealing with rural and residential property transactions as well as my role in the livestock department.
Most valuable career lesson you have learnt?
Almost every contract is different and you never want to stop learning.
What do you love most about Bendigo?
The beauty of our historic buildings, good schools and the diverse array of great cafes and restaurants.
Three words to best describe yourself?
Honest, caring and hardworking.
What advice would you offer someone thinking of buying their first home?
Do your homework. Work out exactly what they are looking for. Stick to a budget and have finance pre-approved.
Is it best to sell your home in Spring?
Things generally do present well in Spring and historically is the selling season. More stock on market does not always correlate with more buyers at one particular time though.
What is your favourite family holiday destination?
Anywhere with my wife and kids, either abroad or discovering somewhere new together camping.
